Starting a Conversation¶
To begin a new conversation, click on the New conversation button. This allows you to start fresh and interact with your data through the analytics agent. To favorite a conversation, click the three dots next to the title in the conversations column and click Add to favorites.
The platform provides preselected questions pinned on the board for easy access. These questions are designed to help you quickly get common insights without needing to formulate queries from scratch. For every dataset you have, Numbers Station provides three sample questions to query the data with. On the other hand, the Featured panel shows conversations pinned by the administrator for easy access.
Use the input bar at the bottom of the interface to ask any questions about your data. This bar is where you type your queries to get insights.
Refreshing vs. Regenerating Data¶
When you refresh a table in the conversation, it queries the data warehouse again and refreshes the data output based on the same SQL query, ensuring you have the latest data. Regenerating, on the other hand, allows the query itself to change, which may alter the results. Refreshing data simply updates the actual table used, but regenerating can be used when you are not satisfied with the agent’s answer and want to change the query asked.
Providing Feedback¶
Feedback can be given by using the thumbs-down icon if something goes wrong. This signals to the data analyst that there is an issue with the query or the data, prompting a review.
